Backgorund
Michael Croce was born, raised and still resides in the Bronx. While growing up, Michael enjoyed experimenting with his Fisher Price PXL 2000 video camera. As a teen, acting became a hobby for Michael performing in numerous community theatre productions including Arsenic and Old Lace, Harvey, Bye Bye Birdie. and numerous others. Michael returned to Queens College in the fall of 2001 after a 10-year absence, and registered for his first film class. He was instantly drawn to the power of storytelling through film and the use of non-linear editing machines. Michael’s acting background was a powerful asset for directing his own actors in shorts he produced and directed. After exhausting every class Queens College had to offer in production and theory and winning the Creative Production Award at graduation, Michael decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in the field of film production. Michael applied and was accepted to the MFA program at City College in New York City.
